How does music affect our perception of what we see on the screen? How can music be used to manipulate our emotions and enhance our connection with a product?
In this project, students took on the role of a television and commercial composer. They selected an existing 60” commercial and scored it with completely original music and sound. Students first identified a target audience, analyzed existing commercials to inform their compositions, and got feedback from a variety of sources to improve their work. The final product was a mixed and polished commercial measured against broadcast quality standards.
